4th Of July Events In Nevada

Do you have the week off from work? Are the kids out of school are you’ve already got cabin fever? The good news is this: the 4th of July is rapidly approaching and summer activities are in full swing here in Nevada.  If you’re looking for something to do this week, we’ve got a great round-up of the 4th of July events in Nevada.

1. If you are going to be in the Henderson area, you’ll want to check out the 4th of July celebrations taking place.

WHERE: Mission Hills Park, 551 E. Mission Dr
WHEN: 6 p.m.-9 p.m.
COST: Free!

2. In Genoa NV, the Volunteer Fire Department is hosting its annual July 4th Chicken BBQ

WHERE: Mormon Station State Park
WHEN: Noon to 5 p.m.
COST: $12, which includes BBQ chicken, coleslaw, backed potato and dinner roll

3. Also in Genoa, Nevada, Pops in the Park is a July 4th celebration you will not want to miss

WHERE: Mormon Station State Park
WHEN: Festivities begin at 1 p.m.
WHAT: Live music – including the world-class Philharmonic Orchestra, Percussion Petting Zoo, Doc-O & Squeaky the Clown, a silent auction, food, fun and more!

4. Looking for fireworks? Look no further than Reno, NV.

WHERE: Various locations – including Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno, during the Star Spangled Sparks event at John Ascuaga’s Nugget in Sparks, Carson City’s Cavalcade of Spectaculars at Mills Park or at any of four Lake Tahoe locations including: Kings Beach, Tahoe City, Incline Village and South Lake Tahoe

Of course, we do know that there are many people who choose to have their 4th of July celebrations at home. Many residents in Nevada love to create their own celebration on Independence Day- complete with fireworks, good food and good people.
