Liability insurance is all the same, right? Wrong! Believe it or not, there are plenty of differences when it comes to liability coverage. This week, our Nevada insurance agency would like to focus on two of the most important types: general liability vs professional liability.
General Liability vs Professional Liability
General liability insurance: In short, this type of liability insurance will provide protection for bodily injury, property damage, slips/trips/falls, and accidents of that nature. For example, if someone walks into your store, slips and is injured on your property, you may be held liable and your general liability insurance policy will kick in. It is much more “action-oriented” versus professional liability.
Professional liability insurance: This type of policy will protect your business from a loss that comes from something you say, such as guidance or advice to a client. If you give professional advice to a client and the client suffers a financial loss you could be held liable.
If you have any questions about either policy, do not hesitate to contact our experts at Safeguard Insurance. We would be more than happy to go over your options and help you choose the right policy for your business!
