Lake Tahoe, Nevada Activities
No Nevada road trip would be complete without a visit to beautiful Lake Tahoe. The crystal blue waters of Lake Tahoe are fed by 63 snowmelt tributaries from the Sierra Nevada mountains. It is the largest alpine lake in North America and the second deepest at 1645 feet. Recreational activities abound year-round with camping, kayaking, and boating in the summer and world-class skiing in the winter.
Of course, take the time to visit nearby Reno, NV and check out the shows, casinos, and nightlife.

Austin, Nevada Living Ghost Town
This living ghost town was once the second largest city in Nevada. Of course, that was in 1860 when silver was mined in the nearby hills. Once the boom went bust, the population dwindled to around just 200 people today. Still, we think Austin is a worthy addition to our list of Nevada road trip destinations. From the restored churches and buildings to the quaint turquoise and antique shops, Austin has a cool vibe unlike anyplace else.
